Korean Air Upcycled Keyring
Upcycled Keyring from Retired Aircraft Duralumin
This limited-edition metal keyring was crafted by upcycling genuine duralumin from the retired aircraft BOEING 777-200ER (HL7574), which completed 13,659 flights and recorded 91,177 hours of operation over its lifetime. Each keyring carries the physical traces and emotional narrative of that flight history.
VOW reinterpreted Korean Air’s heritage through design, transforming time in the sky into a tactile, lasting object. From concept development to product design, packaging, and production coordination, VOW oversaw the entire process— translating Korean Air’s archive into an object of everyday value.
The cut keyring body features unique serial numbering, highlighting its material authenticity, while the package design, inspired by real aircraft maintenance tags, reframes aviation language through a restrained visual approach.
Balancing sustainability with emotional reinterpretation, VOW presents a new material language that connects brand heritage with its future.
