Ballentine's Whisky Special Package
Crafted to Elevate Gifting, Where Prestige Meets Tradition
VOWz approached the meeting point between the world-renowned whisky brand Ballantine’s and Korea’s cultural holidays—Lunar New Year and Chuseok—not simply as a packaging project, but as a meaningful design experience that bridges tradition and brand. Beginning with hand-drawn illustrations, the design reinterprets Korean aesthetics in a contemporary way through organic lines and forms imbued with human warmth, while refined graphic composition ensures harmony with Ballantine’s global identity.
Motifs symbolizing abundance and longevity—such as waves, the moon, trees, and traditional patterns—are expressed through deep color palettes and metallic accents, highlighting the prestige of a world-class whisky. Rather than juxtaposing two different cultures, VOWz focused on creating a seamless fusion in which Ballantine’s heritage naturally blends into Korean tradition. As a result, the package elevates the act of gifting into a sophisticated cultural gesture, functioning as a symbolic medium that enriches the festive moment.
